So many children are afraid of thunder and lightning. This knowledge prompted Florida artist Barbara Brown, to create "Thunder Horse". She used to tell the Native American tale about the Thunder Horse coming down to earth from the sky and the pounding of its hooves created the thunder, lightning and rain to nourish their crops, grass and trees. This tale when told to her grandson, calmed him and thereafter, whenever there was a storm he used to say look "Grandma, there's the Thunder Horse." Barbara is a self taught artist , who has always enjoyed painting Native American images and wildlife on natural surfaces. Ceramic Pony 7" high .
