Native Dancer- Retired Painted Pony

The carousel horse was elevated to a high art form by craftsmen and artisans, hand carving and painting the magnificent "Painted Ponies", as they were known, to decorate the 7000+ carousels that were popular at the turn of the century. Today, there are less than 300 left in existence. Native dancer was created as a vintage Indian Carousel Pony eliciting a proud tribute to the artistic dimensions behind these magnificent horses. The Trail of Painted Ponies created this medium sized resin.
