Lions are the only felines that live in large family groups. Each pride differs in size but typically consists of two males, seven females and a variety of cubs. An expectant lioness is pregnant for around 110 days and has three or four cubs in each litter. The cubs nurse for six to eight months, and depend upon adults for all of their food until they are two years old. Young cubs learn to perfect their hunting skills by watching the adults and by playing. Height 7" long.
