Product Details
The “Yankee Doodle” Trail Of Painted Ponies Figurine is an 8.5” resin in the “rearing” form. This horse was fashioned by Lexie Palmore. The inspiration was from a classic tale of the Revolutionary War. The British Army used to sing “Yankee Doodle” as an insult to the Colonial army, which was made up of mostly farmers. They were not seen as a threat at all to the British army. When the Colonial army was victorious, they sang the song to mock the British for underestimating the Americans. This has become a well-known patriotic song through the ages of American History.
