"Cutting Horse" Statue

The Sport of Cutting is a Western event that had its origin on cattle ranches. This statue depicts the separating of a certain cow from the herd (cutting the cow) and keeping it from rejoining the herd for a specified amount of time. Many horses are so highly trained and have so much cow sense" the rider simply lets the horse know which cow to cut and the horse will move in to cut the cow, anticipating its moves and keeping it separated from the herd. This statue is made of furniture grade resin and is finished in an antique bronze mounted on a solid walnut base measuring approximately 14"L X 8 1/2" W X 10 1/2" H.
